Indigenous Day 2024 India Calendar. Columbus day, also recognized as indigenous peoples' day in many parts of the u.s., will be observed on monday, october 14, 2024. On august 9th, the indigenous tribal communities, known as adivasi, who are acknowledged as the nation's original inhabitants, are honoured through the celebration of adivasi divas.

The date marks the first meeting, in 1982, of the un working group on indigenous populations. This year’s theme is protecting the rights of indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation.
